Yeah, he’s that celebrity whom I swooned over for a whole year from ’02-’03. I bought his music CD, DVD’s, movie stubs, and his books because he was such a strange and unique individual. That was the first list of mistakes I made. I fell right into idolism. Until I found out he believes he is the elite and would only associate himself with the ( Read more... )

I've always had problems with people who go against the flow just for the sake of it. I figure, don't go against it unless the flow is bad, you know? "Rebel Without a Cause", what's the point? There's nothing wrong with doing mainstream stuff. Unique and quirky things are great too, but that doesn't make them better than mainstream stuff.

Willard was awesome though...

I'm guilty of being counter-culter. But it isn't popular counter culter. I'm different, I'm weird. I'm unique, so pretending to be like everyone else, for the sake of fitting in would just be a lie. I could go on, but whats the point? *laughs*

Best wishes

I'm not saying "Being counter-cultural is bad" either. I mean everyone has something they're neurotic about, and everyone has an ego too, big or small. Who am I to judge why someone does a certain thing? My feeling that one person is more natural in being different over another might all just be from my perception.

In my experiences, I've mostly seen things that I have wanted to see. This is because I am predisposed to either look for one thing or another, to think one thing or another, or even believe one thing over another. I think this is the essence of being biased, humans just have a narrowed sense of view. So it is hard to look things over in a broader sense. It's like being in love with someone; you only see the things that are good about them, and you ignore all the rest. Perceptions are a tricky thing to deal with, because it is always hard to deal with yourself.... I don't think I'm making any sense. *laughs*
