Dude, I've been working on a novel for the past, oh, 6-7 years, constantly revising and editing ad nauseum. I'm openly considering at this point ditching the project--it's been fun for awhile, and I've learned a lot about myself and how I write--and start working on something different. Kudos to you for sticking with something so difficult.

I don't know how much of my experience and learnings translate to yours, but since we are both engaged in a creative struggle, and if you're willing to hear me out, there are a couple of things I've learned through this thing that have helped me immeasurably (and if you know these already feel free to pretend I didn't write them ( ... )

Good points. I'm thinking of writing up some treatments for various novels I have in mind, each maybe around 10-20 pages, editing them--but not too much--then taking what looks promising and turning it into a full novel. I think I have about 5 treatments that I could write. At the very least, it would give me something to aim for.
