Day 1- A Warm Welcome
Sleep deprived
Achie, Dichie and I were able to sleep at around 2:30 because of the gifts that we were arranging. I’ve been sleep deprived for the whole week because Ken was here from Dec. 2-5. I woke up at 4:30 as being the last to take a bath, I even told shobe whoever sleeps first gets to wake up first. We arrived at the airport at around 5:30, checked in at around 7:00 only to realize that our flight was delayed until 12:00 noon. We were supposed to wait for Jay at the Yellow Gate starting 3:00p.m. but because of the delay, we had to rush things and arrived at around 6:30 at the Yellow Gate.
The Gift
We were trying to look for people whom we can trust to take our gifts inside. Securestars are out of the question. We started our elimination round as we take a look at their IDs. We also eliminate those who speak Cantonese because our target is any of the Taiwanese Crew of Jay. Then out of nowhere, a Nan Quan Mama came out, I was sure it was YU HAO, but I was wrong it was TAN TOU (Devon). Achie shouted for Tan tou and he went in front of us.
Dichie: Hi Tan Tou, we have something to give to you.
Tan Tou: For Jie Lun?
Dichie: Yes.. and for you guys also
Tan Tou: Oh sure... no problem
Dichie: But it’s too many, can you bring all of these?
Tan Tou: Oh… I’ll get someone to get it from you okay?
Dichie: Okay.
After a while, nobody came for the gifts. Dichie was starting to get frustrated because she should’ve given the goodies to him. Then much later, we saw another PA who looks like she’s one of the crews of Jay. We approached her and asked her if she can just take the stuffs inside. She said she has to ask the management. After 10 minutes she came out and asked us if we’re from Taiwan. We told her we’re from the Philippines.
PA: “Thanks for the goodies, does it have a card inside to identify to whom these presents are for?”
Dichie: Yes there are cards inside it and these 2 heavy boxes are for the crews!
PA: Oh thank you thank you… Your Chinese is very fluent, are you really from the Philippines?
Dichie: Yes.
The PA carried all the gifts inside and we went to the Green Gate and purchased some Jay merchandise. Since it’s the 4th night of the concert, most of the items were already sold out. I just bought the Jay File Folder and a paper bag.
pinkrabbit17 and
myorangedreams were already there while we waited for Mariliza and Bheng. There were 7 of us who's going to watch on Dec. 8.
Finding our seats
The stage is only ¼ of the stadium, but nevertheless, our seats were not too far and not too near. I was seated with Bheng while Mariliza was in front of me and the other two were at my back. I kept my eyes on the VIP Box, it’s just below the control area where later on I saw Ju Pao the Musical Director. As I went through the people at th VIP box, I saw Wai Po and Chou Mama at once, together with them, I saw the PA that we talked to a while ago. I called the attention of Achie and Dichie to look at the VIP box. Dichie was seated at Sec 65, Row 14. She told me it was a good seat because not only did she saw Wai Po and Chou Mama pass by, she was also able to greet them with: “Wai Po ni hao! Chou Mama ni hao!” Both waved and smiled at her in return.
While waiting for the stadium to fill up, we took pictures and posed with our banner. I was having a conversation with Bheng when suddenly, one of the Japanese gals called my attention asking if I am Yanaliao. I’m so sorry if I got her name wrong but I think it’s Morioko. Gomen! She told me she is a Jerry Yan fan and she always pass by my website. The one where she knew that I am also a KimuTaku fan and Jay Chou’s as well. It was unbelievable but she and her friends often drop by my blog. I don’t know how updated my blog is, but anyway, welcome and feel free to leave a comment or two! Moving on, we took pictures together and I just found out that she’s just seated behind Mia! What a coincidence.
This is it- December 8, 2007; Hong Hum Stadium
Lights began to dim as the sounding roar echoed across the stadium. It’s time!
Jay popped up from underneath with a Violet costume wearing a feather-like thing which was usually used by Soap Opera singers long time ago. The first song was Golden Armor. He sang a total of 28 songs including Fa Ru Xue, Promise of the Dandelion, a different version of Nunchucks and Fearless, Faraway, Secret, Incomparable, Golden Armor, Silence, Kai bu liao kou, Rainbow, Cowboy on the Run, Milk Candy, Nocturne, Twilight's Chapter 7, Ting Mama De Hua (W/ Jacky Cheung singing 1 part of the song), Ku Xiao Bu De w/ Alan Ke, Ling by Alan Ke, Jie Kou, Xing Qing (Dec. 8), Black Humor (Dec. 8), Longest Movie w/ its MV, Rosemary Flavor w/ Wai Po, Last Battle, Chrysanthemum Stage, Herbalist Manual then played the yoyo.
Waipo danced...^^V
I enjoyed the concert so much especially during the 9th. We were singing like there's no tomorrow. I hate to admit it but I want to join the others to Malaysia and watch it again.
The first night was okay, we had a blast as Bheng and I sang An Jing and Kai Bu Liao Kou together. The HKies kept on staring at us because it looks like we were having our own concert back there. Jay was a bit high on our first night (Dec. 8). I missed my F4 Concert experience.
That night, Jay was so high that he joked with the TWINS. He said: "You take care of the stage so I can change my clothes, alright?" He was really lively and talkative, it's so unusual. His side remarks were really funny and he's the exact opposite of the JIE LUN in The One.
After the concert, we went to the yellow gate to wait for him but the fans were already piled up so we decided to wait along the sidewalk. When Jay came out, we showed him our "Fei" banner but he didn't go to our side. He shook hands with other fans and went inside his van. He closed his curtains as his van passed by our side. We held up our banner and called Jie Lun's attention. He opened his curtain again and waved at us until he was out of sight.
The MSP NIGHT- 2ND NIGHT Dec. 9, 2007; HOng Hum Stadium
We all met up at the Green gate again, some bought the merchandise while others were busy looking for each other. It was our MSP night. It was our night! We took pictures with Jay's doll and took out our banner which made us the center of attention in HongHum. Fans took pictures of us while 2 other HKies joined us in our group picture. I was whaaa??? what happened back there? Anyways, it was a funny experience.
During the 2nd night I was with my cousins. Although we can just view the back of Jie Lun, we were singing happily with him and Jay never fails to look up at our place and wave. It was not significant but I'm happy he's enjoying the crowd too.
After the song Fearless, we didn't finish Nunchucks which is the last song. We reached the first chorus and ran outside to the Yellow Gate. As expected, there were just a few people waiting and we were able to stay at the front row. Soon, a crowd was piling up and all were anticipating Jie Lun's exit. At first it was Wai Po and Zhou Mama who came out. We all screamed and said hi to WAI PO AND ZHOU MAMA. Wai Po waved to us happily like a superstar.
A few minutes more, some of the dancers came out. One of them danced with Vudang during the concert and held up the "Fei Lu Bin" banner. We all said hi to the dancers and I was wondering why she kept on waving like she recognized someone. I thought it was Vudang since she danced with her just before the concert ended. But I was wondering why she kept on nodding as Vudang said something in Tagalog which made me think the dancer was actually talking to her. It was really funny~ Anyways, my cousins told me the dancer saw them and pointed at their banner, then achie said: "Yes yes..." Then the dancer nodded to them and waved goodbye a few more times. That was the dancer we met at Shanghai, we did talk to her at about 15-20 minutes while Jay was inside the stadium rehearsing.
Jay came out at last. I thought he would come over and shake our hands but he went directly to his van. The van was right in front of us. Jay sat at the 2nd row and we were calling out to him. Whenever we shout "JAY", he would look and jump up to his seat and wave excitedly. It looked like he's looking for something inside the van, but whenever we shouted his name, he would look up and wave. Mia and the others shouted: "Merry Xmas Jay!" Then we saw him wave again. Bheng said somebody was taking a video of us inside the Van. Who knows what might happen... hee hee hee~
It was such a wonderful night for each and everyone of us. I was happy that JAY CHOU was able to re-unite the MSPs for another memorable trip.
