A/N: I was in a sickeningly happy mood when this happened.
Castiel doesn’t understand why Dean is smiling. He doesn’t see why. It's not that he doesn’t understand the human body, all it’s endorphins and muscles working in complex patterns to emanate emotions. That’s not a mystery to him.
It’s the why. Maybe Dean is laughing at Castiel. Maybe he is laughing at the den of iniquity they have just vacated. Maybe Dean is laughing at the gently shining Impala. Castiel cannot solve this mystery. It’s beyond his knowledge.
All he knows is that he never wants that smile to go away and maybe that is the greatest mystery of all.
