So I was poking around Netflix and much to my joy, I found that Jason of Star Command is now available for streaming. I used to have the novelization of the first few episodes. IIRC it had a promo pic of Jason's actor on the cover. I wonder whatever happened to it.

Nods nods. Mine was definitely a Scholastic Books school book fair purchase. Probably around 4th grade as well.
