They ditched it in the mid-late 80's IIRC, under Walt Simonson's run on the The Mighty Thor, when he emphasised Thor's cosmic adventures over more mundane Earthbound superheroics (though that didn't stop Thor from being turned into a frog for a couple of issues).
And Ye Olde Butchered English is pretty much standard for the poor guy. :)

Most of what I've seen of Thor was in that old, awfully animated series...
(I think the only way "mine hammer" can be justified is if he pronounces it "mine 'ammer". http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mine#Usage_notes )
