Mattie ran for her life back towards Mr. Atchison's, the bag of precious baby food jars clutched in her arms, praying the blowing dust would throw off the pursuit by the strange armored war robots. Behind her, she could still hear them shouting over the howling duststorm, "HALT! THE HUMAN FEMALE MUST HALT!"
The first Dalek paused, its eyestalk rotating towards its companion, "CANNOT DETECT THE HUMAN FEMALE. AIRBORNE PARTICULATE MATTER OBSCURING VISUAL SENSORS."
"CONFIRM, VISUAL SENSORS IMPAIRED. LIDAR SENSORS IMPAIRED. LIFE FORM SENSORS IMPAIRED," the second Dalek stated.
"REPORT TO CONTROL AND PROCEED WITH SEARCH PATTERN ALPHA. THE HUMAN FEMALE MUST BE FOUND AND INTERROGATED."
They trundled forward, separating themselves to the limits of their sensors as other Daleks were called in to aid in the search. So long as one non-Dalek lifeform remained in the universe, their hunt would never stop.
