Horrible Thought #696: It's entirely possible that Tez's entire horrible condition is the gods' way of insuring that no matter what happens, the Elven race will not die out.
Which means somewhere out there there a female counterpart to him, suffering through the exact same sh*t he does.
I just unburied my copy of The Dragon's Companion and finished it this weekend (I managed to let it hide in a 'to be read' pile for some reason), and remembered this was here and came to read it too.
Hmm. And I'm guessing that the unknown agent was either in fact Swan herself, or if not then she was a willing accomplice rather than kidnapping victim. Which would explain why she's basically written out of the family history...
Well, that just makes me want to know what happened before and will happen now...
*tries to imitate puppy dog eyes* more please?

PS: Typo suspected: His face hardened, and the gained the feral expression that Maria had rarely seen, but made her very glad that he was bound as he was right now. The first "the" should be "he", I think...
