July Sales Report

Aug 01, 2013 08:05

Summary: A slightly better than average month, spiced up by the release of Mimsey’s Tale and a very unexpected six sales of The Dragon’s Companion, and nine of For Your of Safety for some odd reason. Usually I only get two or three at best.

Also, I had my first Canadian sale. Which was immediately reversed. Cheap socialist bastards. ;p

Well, I did mention For Your Safety favorably in a discussion on James Nicoll's blog (comparing it to The Humanoids; I said if I HAD to have that style of ending for humanity, I much preferred the For Your Safety one because the morphs at least seemed to be BOTHERED by the necessities and do their best to make the change as tolerable as possible. They remained sympathetic, while the Humanoids never were)

Ah, thank you for that! Do you have a link to the original post? I missed seeing that originally.

Thanks muchly. I did get a definite "Colbert Bump" last month from that (still don't get the Dragon's Companion sales blitz though).

One of these days I need to figure out a novel length premise for this 'verse that isn't either about the Fall of Man or The AI's Are Defeated and get to writing it.
