Anyone who appreciates British villains will take pleasure not only in Fiennes but in Jason Isaacs, as his ice-cold functionary Lucius, and Alan Rickman as Snape. Actually, Rickman plays a good guy, but fortunately it seems that someone forgot to tell him (from a review hereNot, they didn't forgot, that was exactly the point -- and I love AR for ( Read more... )

I read a review today where the guy first of all admits he's never read the books, then went on to say that Harry/Daniel was too "hardened"-- and I thought, "gee, you really DON'T get it, do you?" He thought he should still be more like a "kid".

Awww.. if it's any comfort, I'm not seeing it until next week when my sister and niece come out from Michigan. So you'll get to see it before me!

Sometimes I get mad at people who doesn't understand the movies; but, as this critic said, the HP movies are more like a plus to the books than separates entities. A lot gets lost if you don't read the books.

I'm going today, yay! That's at 7:45 pm. I'm coming home from work (4:30 pm), then going to buy the tickets (5:00 pm) --otherwise, I won't get them, because today's the first day here in Mexico-- and then I'll come back home and eat something, then return around 6:30 to get in the line. I hope it's worth it ...

I'm sure you already watched it (I haven't been able to check my f-list --too much work and fear of spoilers). I'm going today! Talk to you later, ok?

And I like how even a lost critic can see how right Alan plays Snape XD.
