Glad to hear you're doing well. Have you taken a look at "Bending the willow" and "A study in celluloid"? Also, over the years, JB has discussed his acting in a number of magazine and newspaper interviews--have you seen some of them? Many of them _are_ about Holmes, though, that is true...
