Back when Star Trek came out, the lack of Spock Prime/New Kirk, the fact that I wanted to practice my inexistant skills at drawing comics and my fannish glee combined to CREATE A MONSTER, i.e. a 3-page comic that I immediately looked back at and thought: "OH MY GOD THIS IS HORRIBLE AND SO EMO. I didn't realize where this story was going-what a sad ending! I never really considered spock prime as jims love interest, but it feels totally plausible after reading this. It's a special treat to see great writing partnered with great drawing talent :)

well, as much as we all want there to be a happy ending, this is a more realistic scenario. I think the power behind this piece of art has a lot to do with the sad truth the viewer recognizes in the last panel.

I was stumbling through the internet and found this (it's a long story). I like it a lot. The banter is great and I love Kirk's expressions. This may be my head!canon now.
