Redemption?

So today I was in the gas station, the BP to be exact, which has a large screen television usually broadcasting some horrible serialized show like CSI or some other nonsense. I was going through my usual routine of aquiring my goods, including a monster energy drink that happens to be located directly beneath the television. As I was opening the ( Read more... )

Bush is a man who has brought about a civil war in Iraq, brought about chaos in Afghanistan, and alienated the world from him. He crafted No Child Left Behind but gave it startingly low funding, he lowered government environmental regulations thus increasing pollution, and won't turn over evidence that would suggest he was part of those who bungled the Katrina disaster relief. 650,000 Iraqis have been reported as having died amid sectarian violence, no bid contracts have been awarded to large corporations, including Cheney's Halliburton, and it appears as if two presidential elections were stolen by the smallest of margins by this man. I support his actions of repairing damages done. It is an encouragement for him to continue being a good man, or moving in that direction. If we do not encourage that, then he may leave this path behind, and he's in office still, and will continue to be.

I don't condone his previous actions, nor support any actions "just because he wants it this way." I'm saying I support his acceptance of accountability, and hope that he continues to shape up.

It is never too late for redemption.

I truly hope that he has decided to change his ways, even if it is a little late, and its not just a ploy. Though i doubt he can ever change half of what he's done, nor get the majority of people to believe in him again, little of that matters as time for him will soon be up.

Either way, for his sake, personally, and for the same of your whole nation i hope he can fix at least SOME of what he has done, personally, and allowed to happen via the powers he holds. I do, sincerely hope that the entire nation can come out of it better, and gain a little more trust, respect and friendship that he has lost you over the years.

Also, i hope Arnold Schwarzenegger can someday become president, that would be awesome.
