I will listen (and I want you to want me to listen), and you don't annoy me, no matter how much I may make it seem that way. I just want to break through the thick candy shell so I can see you.

I know (I should say, I suspect) you do not call me "friend", but I should hope to change that, because you are a genuinely good and intelligent person, and those are so precious to me. Talk to me sometime, I like to listen.
