Ohmygoodness, I'm sorry it's taken me this long to comment. I'm in the throes of chaotic busy times right now so I can't leave a proper comment right now, but please know that I adored what you did with this and I'm going to come back and tell you everything I loved soon. ♥

Okay, yes, here I am, and I've reread it and it kind of leaves me floating the way it did when I first read it and the only thing I was sure of was that I didn't have enough time to find a way to express how much I love what you've done. The reoccurring theme of the game, and of drunkenness and then maybe not-so-drunkenness, of remembering and forgetting on purpose, consciousness of what's happening... I really love how this feels. I love how it plays off the original idea of there being this long-standing thing between them that isn't always put into words but that shifts with their relationship, and I especially love that it's couched in the language of games and rules, and how Nino and Jun both know what they're doing and know how to play, but play the same game completely differently.

I'm probably being incoherent, but please know that this was really fantastic to read. Thanks for the love you put into it. ♥

That's what I found the most... intriguing about your original, how the pivotal moments were often left out. It feels very them. I mean, in terms of ICness, because they're not the kind of people who would actually SAY anything.
