While the option for 'No Locked Fics' actually had the most votes, we had users bringing up some issues about this option. We decided it was fair to allow locked fics IF, and only if, it links back to a comm with open community membership. We will not allow fics that link back to locked journals or moderated membership comms. Fic posts containing locked links to either will be deleted without warning.

I guess I need a little clarification about open. Lately, I've been posting as my fic alias akite_fiction. We accept anyone who wants to join provided they do a couple of things for us. Is this considered moderated?

It's annoying to see an interesting looking summary and to click it only to find you have to do even more things and friend random strangers just to read a potential fic that you might or might not even like.
