I don't want to be so graphic, but I've been doing so much searching and can't find anything about this.  Everything I read only talks about nausea and vomiting with "morning" sickness.  I'm not one to really ever throw up, I usually get it out the other end!  I am wondering if anyone else had the same issues, with upset stomach and kind of ( Read more... )

I never got sick, I was nauseas ALL the time! That is considered morning sickness. I was constipated, I didn't really have loose stools, but then again, having that is just another symptom. The 1st trimester is always the craziest in pregnant women. Only because you go through all those changes your body has never been through before. But the 2nd trimester is when the woman starts to feel better and back to her self again, just very hormonal. 3rd trimester is when you start to feel uncomfortable. You'll start to get braxtin hicks, which is minor contractions (nothing to worry about) and your belly starts to feel uncomfortable as the baby starts having less and less room to move around. But it's awesome :) Just eat saltine crackers or dry bread, OR some chicken broth when you feel sick :) When is your first DRs. appt? They will usually breif you on all of your concerns and give you pamplets to look over.

Thank you. My first appointment is November 9th with the "information lady" and then I actually don't see my doctor until December 12th. Is that normal to actually see the doctor for the first time at 13 weeks???

Yes, that is very normal. The drs. usually don't like to see pregnant women for their first appointments usually until 12wks. Only because that's when they can detect the heart beat, and you're at that time almost done with your first trimester. I was seen at 12 wks. and at that time I never understood why. We first saw the information people because we were first timers as well, and that's when they go over what you plan on doing, having a natural birth with or without meds. if you want to see a dr. or a nurse practioner OR a mid wife. They give you a lot of options usually at that time. If you ever have any questions, ask, and hopefully I'll have some answers for you :)

Does Dan need to come along for the information meeting do you think? For him to make it, he'd almost need to take the whole day off from work. I don't necessarily want to show up and feel weird without him there either.
