Here's a little something that was auctioned on Ebay last week. I didn't go for it, but I downloaded the pics because I thought you might be interested :o)
Oh, thanks so much for posting! Did you notice this green dinosaur/crocodile thing that is always with him during his life (except Schalke, maybe). Maybe it means something (in psychological sence)?
Yes, yes, that must be it! Jens' old school is called Georgschule, so of course the cute little dragon school mascot refers to the legend of Saint George and the dragon. I just looked it up at Wikipedia:
- As legend would have it, Saint George killed the dragon and by doing so saved a poor innocent virgin. Likewise, Jens chivalrously protects his immaculate goal by killing evil penalties and other ravenous beasts, err, balls.
- Among other things, Saint George is the patron of the field workers, and Jens definitely is a field worker, right?
- The George Cross is the flag of England, place of Jens' Great Victories.
- The red Brustring on the white Stuttgart jersey of course constitutes half a George Cross.
- And I'm sure Schalke somehow fits in there as well if we look close enough.
Yes, Jens is no one else as a field worker, so Saint George is his patron definitely. (He is worker in literal sence of the word, not like some lazy goalie that showed a kind of circus yesterday) And Schalke, well: they wear cobalt/white tricots, and the word cobald remains of kobolds, sprites that have their gold and silver treasures in mountain caves - as dragons do.
There has to be another book, except of Jens' one, "The spiritual meaning of everyday life of Jens Lehmann" or something like that.
