I loved this! I wonder if more Atlanteans will take Carson’s mutagen in order to visit Athos and be truly part of both cities?
I’m glad that both Sumner and Bates are dead, and by their own hands (if indirectly in Sumner’s case), so no one had to sully their hands with them.
Although ‘obeying a superior’s orders’ as an excuse went out with the Nuremberg trials, I can certainly understand the soldiers’ obedience, considering it was very clear that Sumner would order their executions on a whim and Bates would carry them out without hesitation.
