Election Day!

Nov 03, 2009 10:14

If you're a registered voter in the United States, please remember to vote today. If you aren't already registered today would be a good day to fix that. There are lots of local offices and important issues on the ballot all over the country. And if you live in East Lansing, Michigan vote for Kevin Beard for city council.

Our local ballot is almost entirely uncontested elections. Its sad.

What's sad is the voters will allow Bloomberg to ignore, with impunity, the referendum that gave the city term limits.

The voters should reinstate a two term limit, and this time, include wording that allows the law to be changed only by referendum.

We have nothing in Vermont today. I am feeling very left out, as my colleagues who live in nearby Massachusetts and New York talk about how they voted.

No voting for me until Town Meeting, come March. And then we get to play with y'all again in November. But nothing this year.
