Homemade Mints

I found this blog post a few weeks ago, and have been thinking about when I should try it for myself. This weekend it occurred to me that this might be a good project for kids, and since I'm going to be spending all of next week in Florida with Tom's siblings and their kids, I should bring the ingredients down with me and see if the small ones are ( Read more... )

Peppermint, cinnamon, wintergreen, cherry, blue raspberry or bubblegum if they're for kids...

I had thought about cinnamon, but something fruity hadn't occurred to me. I'll have to see what the store has.

If they don't have what you are looking for there is a candy shop on 9 and 20 in East Greenbush right next to the IHOP

I don't know what it's called it's in the peter harris plaza there, right next to the IHOP. A very lovely and clean IHOP, I will add. They had some flavorings, loads of food dye. You also may want to try honest weight food coop. In there bakers section they have a whole bunch of flavorings.
