Depending on your camera, you may be able to swap the... er, I forget the name, the glass screen thingy that you view stuff on in the viewfinder... you may be able to swap that to one with a split prism for accurate manual focussing.

Or, as with the majority of AF cameras, you probably can't :-/

Manual focussing is possible, of course, by switching the lens to MF mode. It's not perfect, and of course it doesn't have nice guide things, but it works OK. The problem is really that I'm not using autofocus properly, I'm being lazy and slapdash.
