You asked for it so here it is - how I'm beading the peacock. I actually use two different techniques of beading for this project so this is the first one. This is a standard method for applying beads to a garment. It's very sturdy and tidy, allowing one to create pretty designs in beads. I also have a picture tutorial of this on my website.

Thank you so much for this! I love watching instructional videos, because I usually don't pick everything up from still pictures alone. One question - how exactly do you have your fashion fabric attached to the cotton that's going through the embroidery hoop? Is it just basted on like the tissue paper?

This makes me think of the ladies hundreds of years ago doing this all the time since that's all they did in their spare time when they didn't have tv's and computers. You're a very Renaissance Woman. :)

Thanks! I have to admit I have put myself on a TV ration for the duration of this project. I stick to audio books and music when I'm beading - it's amazing how much I can get done without visual distractions!
