Of course, although as you know Victorian isn't really my era... I always have an opinion though! I haven't forgotten about the hat project either... be looking for an e-mail from me on that in the next few days. :>
Yay! I'm glad the Diva turned out so lovely (esp. after being such a bother ;-). And the scrubbie? Love it! That's similar to a trick I did when I've had longer hair + the patience to style my own hair, as opposed to use a wig.
Regarding the scrubby... you can take it a step further by making a pouf out of net or tulle that is similar in color to your hair, and you can make it any size you want. For more complex shapes, it's quite simple to make little pads and pillows of double layers of brown net and stuff them with ratted up yaki (synthetic)hair. Or if it doesn't gross you out, your own hair pulled out of the brush. The Victorians even had a vanity-top jar to save hair in called a "hair reciever".
I have used net/hair rats up to now and they work but I like the scrubie better for the pouf. My hair felt more secure (I think because it is so dense) and it wasn’t scratchy on the scalp. I was thinking if I want to go higher I might try using net on top of the scrubie, although really my hair isn't long enough for any more height.

p.s. May I ask the favor of your opinion on trim for my almost finished Victorian when I get pics posted?
