oooh oooh oooh. I so want to have the wedding at Penn's University Musuem. I just called them. Now we just need to be able to afford it. Their prices are comprable to some of the other places I have looked into. I wonder if there are any strings that could be pulled to get the price a bit lower. absolutely have it there. i'll bet the father of the groom can pull some strings.... "wedding party? this isn't a wedding party, they're all mummy-dusters, and they're trying to WORK so move along people!"

I hope strings can be pulled... we're pretty much footing the bills ourselves... meaning alot of our creatively inclined friends are going to be involved... i have a pastry chef friend who I have to talk to about doing the cake... kims doing the flowers... we know 57599655.9 DJs...

I have a feeling given our budget that it might be too expensive to do it at the museum.

They hold the ceremony in the Egyptian Gallery (how cool is that?) and then have the reception in the Rotunda. All of the galleries remain open for guests to meander through.

it does, but it is going to be too expensive and there are only so many strings that can be pulled for that sort of thing.
