Its an Acer. The problem is, seeing as how I'm a complete klutz, I spilt a bit of juice on the keyboard. And seeing as how I am a complete idiot (and paranoid freak!), I pried off the spacebar to wipe up the spill. Only now I cant replace it because all the bits are interjoined and I know how to get it done in theory because I spent two hours examining it but they have made it SO DIFFICULT to actually do it. Plus, I think that when I was pulling off teh key (or when i was trying to replace it) I made a hole in the metal plating underneath. Suffice to say; I should not be allowed near anything electrical again.

Been tbere, done that! If you can get your space bar off of ghe keyboard, there should be a siver/metal thin rod (okay I have no clue what it is called, but it is about probably 5-6 inches, and it should be connected to the space bar - probably not now since it is not working, but that is how it should be. what happens when it comes out of its place is the bar or whatever it is, can't push against the place on the actual keyboard to make spaces.

Look on the soace bar and see if there are two grooves on the underside of the space bar (look on the bottom edge on either end of the bar). the silver thing should fit on that and then when you press the space bar back onto the keypad, the contraption allows the space bar to push it, therefore pushing itself against the space maker - gotta love my terminology - lol!

I had to play around with mine for a while to get it to work right. It may still stick a bit at tmes, but it should work okay.

No, I tried that!! It is like some really weird complicated interlinked bunch of bits and I cant replace it and I think I made a hole in the metal plating underneath it and oh god hyperventilating.
