Trying to keep the universe from imploding or why Jon may be growing a goatee

One of the boys I have been dating* has reminded me a little of my brother Jon since I first met him. It turns out the more I talk to Bill (said boy) and the more I talk to Jon I am beginning to realize that Bill may just be alternate universe Jon. I.) Most nerds would have known the Wheel of Time reference. I say this as your friend: Do NOT read those books. The first book in the series was fantastic, and the momentum that it creates will carry you through the next few books, but somewhere along the line what would have made a perfectly wonderful trilogy morphed into a Gawd-awful monstrosity, growing longer and more pointless with each passing book. Oh, and then the author died before the series ended (if, indeed, it ever would have been brought to any sort of meaningful conclusion).

II.) Cookies are awesome.

III.) Being a grown-up really is the best adventure.

1. Ha.... you can imagine the degree to which it amuses me that this was pretty much what Jon had to say about the books. How I adore the nerdy men in my life.

2. Cookies are awesome, I would even go so far as to say they are my favorite food. Unless of course some evil person has decided to slip raisins into them.

3. Have my annual pass, ready to play!

...to the Ender series, except books 1, 2, and the first 4/5ths of 3 are awesome and then HOLY FUCKING SHIT DOES IT DERAIL.
