Vancouver, WA, which - contrary to popular belief - IS in the united states AND is a suburb of portland, oregon. for some reason, this greatly confuses many people. several of my friends in phoenix are still convinced i moved to canada.

i've been single for... sheesh. 4 1/2 years now? not even anything i could really consider a date during that time, either. apparently i have commitment issues ;) that, and i've been too durned busy with everything else to deal with anything.

nope! no kids. i usually joke that i'm allergic to them (in fact, i have a postcard hanging on my bedroom wall that says "honey, we need to get rid of the kids, the animals are allergic to them."), though instead of being dead set against having them, now i'm of a frame of mind to say "hrm. we'll see what life brings me."

Hey...you know what I found out the other day? Illinois touches one of the Great Lakes! I'm not great at geography...and didn't know that...so um yeha, was talking to someone from Chicago and he was saying it touched a lake....I kept insisting it didn't, but then checked a map...
told him he was right, he said he was glad since he'd grown up about a block from the lake and was worried it might have moved.
