OMG, Such A Rush sounds awesome!!!!!! I'm reading The Ex Games right now, and it's so good. I love all the tension and all the details about snowboarding. Really well-written!
How long does it usually take you to write a book? And how do you go about your research? Because your attention to detail is impeccable.
Wow, Maggie, thank you so much! Writing a book takes me one month to one year. That's just the first draft, though. I go over and over and over it in revisions by myself and then with my critique partners and then possibly my agent and then my editor and then the copyeditor. I have no idea how much time I actually put into each one. As for research, I usually write the book and then go back and look up what I need to know. I think a lot of people get bogged down in research for so long that they never write the book. Research becomes a form of procrastination. It's a lot easier than writing! For The Ex Games in particular, I'd been snow skiing a number of times, so I knew what I was talking about in general. I watched a lot of snowboarding videos and the actual winter X Games to get those details right.
I can't wait for The One That I Want - the paperback version of it, ie. I'm gonna go check out the review. Aaaand the book that made YOU want to write (I love posts like that!).
Also, I'm SO excited for Such A Rush. There aren't many female pilots in YA, I tell you. We so need that.
I can't wait until the paperback for The One That I Want comes out. And every time I read the plot description of Such a Rush, I only get more and more excited! :)

Oh, be sure your hubby is nearby while you read. Safer that way. LOL!
