Hee-hee! I'm with little!Jack. Worms are cool. It nearly killed my dad, the fly fisherman, but he taught us all to fish with worms, and we became the bane of the brown trout in the stream that ran through our property in the Adirondacks.

I used to be convinced I could fly. I had memories of doing it that were so real. All I needed to do was clench this certain muscle in the back of the neck and the top of the shoulders. If only I could just remember which one it was...

Just as a matter of record, though, I can pretty much guarantee that Johnny wouldn't have been wearing cut-offs in 1957. They were largely an invention of the 60's. Before then little boys wore their shorts longer, and shorts were an important part of a boy's wardrobe (he would have had some in a formal dress fabric for church) because the distinction between boys (short pants) and young adult boys (long pants) was fading, but still a significant distinction in the minds of the adults in his life. But who knows. Maybe Johnny's mom was a trendsetter!

I considered putting him in just shorts but figured he was hanging out in the middle of no where with his gramps and they just cut the legs off of his ruined pants, lol. There's a point when the holes in the knees just get too big. I know from the way Owen tears through his jeans. I doubt he would have worn them anywhere but on his property. I can just imagine his gramma fussing over him to clean up to go into town for whatever reason, making him put on clean clothes and wash his face, lol.

(I don't have a Jack icon, so you get Sam *g*)

Very nice! Little!Jack is just too, too cute.

He is.

Of course, regular Jack is pretty darn adorable most of the time, too.
