It's very rare for a Pete-PoV fic to make me smile this much!

I'm not even sure they are aware they were flirting. And less than subtly.

They never seem to be aware they are flirting. Which is what makes them so cute.

Very nice! I've always kind of liked Pete as a character, even if I think he's totally wrong for Sam (come on, who would be crazy enough not to love her?). But this is a great look inside his brain.

Once I got past his trust issues he wasn't a bad guy. He obviously really loved Sam but I have a feeling he knew long before she broke the engagement that she didn't feel the same way. If he ever spent any time with her and Jack alone he would have seen right away there was something going on.

I've been terribly lax in my fic reading and I know you've posted a few. I finally had five seconds to actually read LOL.

This was really interesting - Pete POV isn't very common, but I think you captured him very well. And I think it's totally in line with him to be willing to settle for less just because it's Sam :)

I figured Pete and Jack must have spent some time together at some point and I'm sure Pete would have realized what was going on between Sam and Jack. But he was willing to chance it because, well, Sam is amazing.
