Happy Un-Birthday to Me
Yesterday marked the 30th year of me being on this Earth. I spent the day with Natalie (san-toddler), first for a delicious lunch at La Madeleine (yum!!), then for a shopping spree at Babies R Us. Lavin and I did something new this past weekend. We belong to many Meetup.com groups but never actually attended any events yet. I have now officially grown out of every one of jeans. Apparently, at least to some, I look larger than my almost-15 weeks gestation. While at Whole Foods yesterday, a sales person was handing out Rainbow Light vitamin samples. I noticed they had prenatal samples so I asked if I could try one. The Continuation of my Crazy Weekend
Oh my goodness, this weekend kicked my butt! Sunday was even worse. All the snow talk was over but we still had 5 couplets and my patient load was overwhelming. I'm usually pretty organized but I forgot to draw a lab on a baby until about an hour after it was due. I felt terrible. Attention: Code White
Atlanta is hysterical. We had "heavy snow" predicted today (1-3") and around 8am they called a "Code White" at work. Apparently, during a Code White, which is snow, everyone that is at work must remain until further notice. The supervisors started cruising around the floors taking lists of employees interested in staying overnight at the hospital. ( Read more... )
