If they have plastic surgery it works, because thats how they look. I'm not sure about a wig though... If they look like a dog, and you think of the actual dog whilst you are writing their name down, it wouldn't work. Because you would be thinking of dear old Fluffy, and not Nick Nickster.
If they are wearing a fat suit or some costmetic mask type thinngy, that might also throw you off.
