Ugh, I am so done with the flu. Right before the Holiday's, brought low by a nasty virus. I *think* I'm better today, but each day has been a different-set-of-symptoms adventure. ( cut for ranting about flu symptoms :P )
So sorry to hear about the flu bringing you low -- I had that going earlier this week thanks to my nephew whose new nickname is going to be Typhoid Mary since he managed to bring down almost the entire family with his flu germs. :/ I hope you feel better before getting together with your family - and that you don't catch anything new.
If you've the time & don't mind the Australian (I think?) accent, I love listening to cesperanza's "Ordinary Life" as read by zoetrope - she does very well with the "voices" ...I could listen to her all day. LOL! (The link will take you to the audiofile page at general_jinjur's audiofic site.)
Aw, thanks for the well-wishes! I was basically down-for-the-count for a whole week, and I'm still a little iffy (coughing occasionally) but mostly recovered. I only got through Christmas with the help of DayQuill.
Thanks for the rec! I really like cesperanza's stuff, and Australian accents are fun! :D
Ugh, flu is evil! Hope you recover asap, and in the meantime, happy listening! Also, I did not know there was musical commentary for Dr Horrible! Thank you for bringing this important news(-to-me) to my attention, renting the DVD is now on my list. :) (Also also, in a moment of engaging in the digital version of seasonal activity I realized I don't have an email address for you; if yr willing, PM or send it to skeddykat at gmail dot com? Thx...)
Yes, definitely listen to the musical commentary of Dr. Horrible...the songs are more hit-and-miss than the rest of the shows songs (the first couple were not to my taste), but I really like "Ten Dollar Solo," "Better Than Neil," and "Ninja Ropes." You'll have to let me know what you think after you watch/hear it.
Oh, sorry for the late reply about my email! I'm been basically off the net until yesterday or the day before. First I was super sick, then Christmas & family stuff, then sucked into playing Fable III in co-op mode with my boyfriend obsessively, then there were so many Yuletide fics to read. Woo Hoo!
Anyway, my one of my emails is jenna_marianne [at] hotmail [dot] com
Gah, the flu sounds terrible. :snuggles you: Hope you get much better soon, 'kay? And have a merry Christmas, and a fabulous New Year when it rolls around. ♥
