The rest of the pictures are amazing too, natch -- DOLPHINS!!! -- and swimming with sea turtles is great -- you're lucky to have an underwater digital camera; my pics from Mexico of the sea turtles were kinda blurry. Also, your biology-fu is lolarious; I can just picture the look on your guide's face when you kept telling him he was wrong. Did you do it in a Sherlock-y way? WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
I know, eh? We saw a couple of little ones, and they were just the most adorable things EVER! But it was night, and an octopus really blends in at night and the camera just wouldn't get them, even with the flash.
I'm lucky my dad has an underwater digital camera. I can buy a waterproof case for my camera, but it's apparently pretty expensive, so I think for now I'll just rely on my dad's and his awesome picture taking skills (a few other people took photos but they didn't turn out nearly as well).
I might have been a wee bit more polite than Sherlock. But no less adamant. ^______^
I really was an incredibly awesome trip. See what you missed? Have the pictures maybe convinced you that you should get certified as a diver so we can see more amazing underwater stuff in Asia? Maybe? *nudges*
:) Really wonderful pictures. Thank you! I had no clue about the pufferfish. That is sooooooooo sad!!! And I'm totally with Christine on the biology talk ^_________^ Well done!
I'm glad you guys liked the pics. I was so excited to share them with you and Christine, but it's too bad that it's just a pain to share more than that over the internet. Because I literally have hundreds; even with all the ones I got rid of, I still have over 200 that I'm keeping.
Yeah, that was the nerd in me taking over. I mean, seriously, putting a biologist on a boat in the middle of the sea with nothing to do but look at marine life? And then identifying those organisms incorrectly? You're just asking for trouble. ^________^
