Why do some people prefer wine over other forms of alcohol? It's so bitter...

When I was about 12 or so my parents took the family to Disney. We ate in the Italy section. My parents ordered wine and my dad let me taste some. The first thing he said was, "Don't talk gulps, just take it in small doses. You don't drink it to get drunk, just to make the food taste sweet."

I like it. Its nice with certain cheeses and bread.

Because its better for you, less likely to give you a hangover and a good cheap wine will get better over time.
