This has been a very tough school year for me on all accounts. I have struggled with a new class, new school, new leadership, new coworkers, new everything. Through it all, I have done my best to maintain a positive attitude. I think some days, I fall short

I can totally relate to your struggles in your school this year. I'm having such a hard time with my class this year. Last year, things were so much easier. I've asked others for advice, and they just say, "Well, some years are harder than others!" Not really helpful. I have many days where I go home and can't think of one positive thing I did/said all day. It's tough.

I hope that you and Jeff continue to grow together, too. I know that your first year was a struggle, but you two keep a strong bond. That's admirable. When does he come back home for good?

I understand what you mean about the advice. It is frustrating.

We are not certain when Jeff will be home for good. They are currently projecting him to be finished anywhere from April to June of 2009. There are too many variables to determine exact times right now.

I just hope that things get better this year. It's going to be a loooong year if they don't. Sometimes I wonder if I was cut out for this job, but yet, I can't see myself doing anything else. *sigh* What do I do? I can't just quit a job that I went to school for 4 years to do. I love kids, and I love teaching, but this group is making me second guess how strong those loves are... I don't know how to phrase it without sounding whiny, so I guess I'll stop...

Hopefully he's back sooner, rather than later. It's nice to know that his time away is coming to a close within the next few months. I bet you can't wait to have him back at home. For now, I guess the best you can do is enjoy the time that you do have together. You've made it through tougher times than this, so I know you two will be just great in the end :o)
