hehe, no. I actually refer to them as "the bathroom" and "the downstairs bathroom".
fire_sister and I were talking about the color of her bathroom so I posted pictures of mine since they are both dark colored and it sounds like hers will be too.
The "brown one" is the same color as my master bedroom/bath. I LOVE the color. It was that color when we moved in...Lizard King hates it.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colored door with the white trim. I mean really love that! I may well do that in the downstairs bathroom. In the bathroom in question in my house, the waves would run through the door. So...I don't think I can do that... hmmmmmm...
I love the colored door too! The baseboards are all white in the burgundy room (I didn't take pictures because I realized they were WAY dusty! I am going to clean them today haha).
I picked out the brown on a whim. I love it. I was a little worried about the accessories I picked out, but I think they do okay. I debated on getting a brick red shower curtain for a while, but decided to stick with the one I have.
If you did waves on the door, you may not want to trim the whole thing in white.. It would break up your continuous pattern. If you did trim it in white, I think it would be fine to paint the door a solid color (I'd recommend using the color you used on the bottom part of the walls if you go that route). Or just leave it white.
