So I went to see the movie Milk tonight.  It is nominated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.  Kudos to the Academy for that... because the movie was AMAZING.

I see films like this and they inspire me.  Sometimes random people that I meet inspire me.

heather_grey and I felt like protesting something after seeing that movie. It really is spectacular.

I understand the feeling of wanting to be exceptional - I feel that in myself all the time, too. I'm not exactly sure what would make me moreso than I curently am (which is, of course, never enough - there's always more I could be doing right?), but at least now I'm in a profession and a place where I make a difference.

Last but not least, remembering to do the AMC Best Picture Showcase this year, yes? Holla. :P

oooh man I think I have a birthday party to go to in the evening, which means I would probably have to miss the last two... which of course I haven't seen either yet. I'll get back to you about it once I hear the details of the party. :)

I know, I was ready to jump up out of my chair and march in the street at several points in that movie. I suppose it doesn't hurt that we're sympathetic to the cause. hahaa
