OHMIGOD I want a picture with Sara Bareilles. I'm so with you - I named "Little Voice" My CD of 2007. How cute are you two in that photo - I'm so jealous!

She is sooo sweet too. I told her I was a big fan and she goes "Really, that's so great!" I chatted with her for a minute or two and asked her to snap the pic. It was the most awesome show... It was Vanessa Carlton, Colbie Callait, Sara and Mat Kearney. If I could've met Mat too, I would've died right there.

So because I'm completely open minded about all types of music (har har) I decided to download and listen to a couple of her songs (namely Love Song and Bottle it Up). Now, as you well know I'm not a huge fan of female vocalists to begin with, so perhaps that rules me out already. BUT anyways I just think that every indie-type female artist sounds the same over the past like 10 years or so. I dunno, I can't say I'm "down with" modern music anyways...well unless "Forgot About Dre" still counts as modern. Oh and I used to like "Hey Ya" until I heard it 23589725 times. Sheryl Crow is still pretty awesome, despite the fact that she ruined Sweet Child of Mine. Also, Mandy Moore of course and Liz Phair ain't bad. Bleh, as you can see i'm bored and rambling. Take it for what you will.
