aww. *smishes them* i love how you have Eliot at the end of his rope here. it's been coming for a while, he's sick and he's exhausted and he's malnurished and yet still going, and that will get you. the way you have it catch up in this chapter - the disconnection he's feeling, the utter hopelessness - is perfect.

i love this verse.
