unbelievable, that link. Ye gods, what incredibly STUPID ideas are coming out in some of these bills... Wish to HELL these people would shut the hell up about something they know NOTHING about, and quit presuming they know better than the people whose lives they are mucking about with...

I think this lowlife really, really hates women. Given the fact that he apparently wants to officially refer to rape victims as "accusers" and he wants to torment women who have miscarried...he's gone beyond being a heartless inhuman bastard and is just plain evil and sadistic. if he really cared about human life, he would consider hw many women, when facing the torture he proposes for them, might take their own lives, or refuse to seek medical care when they have a miscarriage because they fear being tried for murder.

It's highly irresponsible and heartless legislation.

Sorry, and what I didn't say before, is I am very very sorry for your loss. I've been trying to conceive, have had one miscarriage after only a few *days* of pregnancy... and probably have had dozens more tries that didn't take... Mine hurt enough, we were pregnant just long enough to start hoping. I can't imagine what it would be like to have been in your place, and my heart hurts for you.

I'm sorry that you have had to go through this, too. We had a very hard time conceiving despite fertility treatments, and I know how hard it is to get your hopes up and then have sad news. :( *hugs*
I think that this is what these "lawmakers" fail to grasp - the human aspect of everything...anything.

I've had two miscarriages, too, and I'm sorry you had to go through them. This law is clearly unconstitutional, but hopefully enough women will read the proposal and get angry enough to show up and vote next time around.

As a white man, I'd just like to say that I'm really tired of reading stories about fat, rich, white men putting forth legislation like this. It seems like there's an epidemic of it lately, and this entire apparent "campaign" (for lack of a better word) disgusts and offends me.

Thank you for sharing your story, and I'm sorry about what you went through.

Reading your post, and the other comments, as well as the experiences of family members, it becomes incredibly apparent that a lot of people, especially the asshole who proposed this law, how common miscarriages are.

Which makes it not only an assault on women's rights and health, but an incredible (read: costly) waste of state resources.
