I am Back!

I'm not sure exactly how many of my friends actually knew that I lived in Alabama and might have been worried about me. There was no need, the tornadoes, although coming close enough to actually see and hear did not actually hit my home. My town is pretty damaged and there are still roads that are blocked off to keep people from going into the too ( Read more... )

*hugs* Glad you're ok! We were just thinking about you the other day. So very glad to hear you're doing all right. Sorry it was a rough time and that they did come that close to you.

The town is severely damaged, there was even a house that was moved onto another house. Trees are downed everywhere, other houses crushed ... it's pretty bad down here. My house is perfectly fine for which I'm grateful of, but some of my neighbors had their roofs taken off and one of them lost their car. It was found across town all smashed up. They are still trying to get power to some people, though for the most part power is returned to everyone.

Well I'm glad that you and your loved ones are alright. I scrolled down and read Lytton's comment. I hope the stables get repaired soon and that not too many of the animals are hurt!

From what you're saying, it sounds as if you and your fam were incredibly lucky! One of your neighbours lost a whole CAR? Jeez! That must have been so terrifying .

I hope everything gets back to normal soon for you!!

We are working on the already, should be finished in a week or so maybe ... two of the horses were injured, one of them was killed :( but that was all .... we didn't really have all that many stabled animals luckily.

We were lucky I think. It was definitely terrifying, I'm just glad it is all over.

I think things will go back to normal soon, things are trying to be normal everywhere anyway.

^_^ Things are already getting better, most people have power now ... the damage is still pretty bad around town but they've begun opening up some more of the roads so it'll be ok.

Oh my God, Jen! This friend (points at self) had no idea you live in Alabama. Are all of your friends and loved ones okay? What about the shelter and the animals? Gah, so sorry, my dear, so, so sorry!

My friends and loved ones are all ok thankfully, they didn't have any damage to their homes either. The shelter had damage, our stable roof fell in. Unfortunately we did have some injuries and worse there, but our dogs and cats and smaller animals were perfectly fine. It's ok, like I said I survived and everyone I cared about did too so I'm ok ^_^

I am glad the dogs, kitties and smaller animals are all fine, and I hope that the rebuilding of the stable roof goes well! Thinking of you here! *hugs* L
