I don't think you'd end up being just a one-hit writer. You're creative enough to figure out a way to sell your other ideas.

Well, in my thinly-veiled self-effacing parody submission, I essentially admitted I don't sell stories because I don't sell myself--I don't want to do the legwork to get to where others are [placing adverts, going to conventions, etc.]--so my options are limited to word-of-mouth and bandwagonning on, say, the MoD project.

I've also declared I'm ambivalent about being famous in my time. The sliver of fame I've experienced is kinda scary, so it's sort of, if I can't be Bill Watterson/Garry Trudeau [famous but private], I don't want it. Which defeats the purpose when it's so hard just to get to be publicly famous =/
