Horse scenes are notorious for neighing. I've lived around horses all my life, and how often do they neigh? Unless you've got a nervous wreck separated from the herd - very rarely. Once a day I might hear my goofball beast squeal in mock-fight, and during the winter they nicker (a soft low sound) in anticipation of yummy food when they see us and think it's feeding time.
