I think I solved the puzzle, but difficult to type an answer with ascii art. :3 Well for ME anyway. Um, in words, basically start at the middle and connect all the dots to the center with four lines, retracing lines so that it stays "continuous". The end result should look like a combo of + and X over each other.

Each line "stroke" counts as a new line =( so that would be at least 11 lines.

You should be able to draw four [or fewer?!] actual visible lines, in sequence, without lifting your pen[cil]/writing utensil, and the line order should be obvious. Also, I think you can use the ScrapBook option for LJ to upload a crap image if you don't want to worry about hosting it somewhere else?
