One of the scrapsofcrap entries described drawing from life--even poorly so--as being superior to drawing from photographs [or, in some cases, from "complete artistic license"]. I kind of do this at work, but the problem is I have models that constantly move around, since I'm trying to do the work surreptitiously. All it really seemed to do was make me think

In the case of drawing real life vs. photographs, I would say it's dependant on how imaginative the artist is to visualize an image in 3 dimensions, but real life would give you the advantage of less work in that instance. Since art is 100% subjective to opinion and prefrences, it really can only have opinions. :)

Photographs at least have the advantage of portability. Not all of us carry around a nakked model in our portfolio. XD

This was one of the things I was pondering if I took up your job offer. Current: On one hand, after work there's literally no traffic, in terms of cars and shoppers. On the other hand, no social life.
