My great-aunt died from cancer on Wednesday, so her wake was today. My grandmother feels so guilty about her death; she outlived her baby sister. But it happens, shitty as it is. I mean, cancer can be a damn vicious disease and it doesn't care how old you are. Grandma knows that, but she's still so broken up. She didn't even go into the room for ( Read more... )

Thank you. Surprisingly, everyone but my grandmother dealt with it pretty well. She's getting through it, though.

I'm sorry to hear that.
My dad passed away because of the damn disease, so I know how it is.
Nothing that cna be done, I suppose. Best of wishes to your family.

It's scary how common cancer is. It's like everyone I know now knows someone who's either dying or suffering with it. Ugh.

You right; thanks. Although I know your father passed away a while ago, I'd still like to wish mine to yours.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It does happen, but it still sucks. Wakes are...interesting. Family sometimes surprises you at strange times. [hugs] My thoughts are with you and your family.

Thanks. It does suck. DX And I know! All the wakes I've been to have been kind of weird... family smiling and acting like it's more of a big family reunion and not... you know. Odd.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I know from personal experience how upset people can get when they've outlived a younger relative, so my heart goes out to your grandma too. I hope the funeral won't be too bad *hugs*

I wish one of my cousins had a band, that'd be a lot of fun. Also, yay for dogistting. Have fun~

Thank you. I didn't go to it, but I heard that the funeral went smoothly (despite the creepy reverend going on and on about how EVERYONE WILL DIE. Gee, that's just what you want to be reminded of when you're mourning) so that set my mind at ease. I was so damn worried about my grandma.

It's... interesting. I mean, more than one of my cousins have WANTED a band, but none of them actually went through with it.

Thank you. She's doing alright now, but I know coping with it is still hard on her.
