I love internet radio. I'm ashamed of myself for not listening to it sooner. Not that this song is particularly great ('cause it's not), but that's beyond the point.
I've been reading a lot lately, and you know, I think that "sepulchral" has occurred in every single one, regardless of the book's genre.

I can somewhat sympathize with your problem, except for me it's both genders (but I wouldn't go so far as to call it fear really). Wish I had some advice to give you, sorry :\

EDIT: *snorts* Usage of the tag "real life" has finally beaten out the "ffvii" tag.
rofl, congratulations. if I had a real life tag (most of mine are a little more specific) it would be far behind. though comment tolls will tell that most people don't want to read about real life, but you've probably noticed that too. :'(

Currently I'm working on two Neil Gaiman books, which are good so far; one fantasy with faeries and the other with a guy who gets out of prison to find his wife dead and some weird monster thing that eats guys through her vagina. o_O;
The best two, which is narrowing it down a lot, would be Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach and Lucky by Alice Sebold.
Stiff is all about the different uses that human cadavers are taken for when they're donated to science. Getting it mostly for the cover, I was happily surprised by humorous writing that was fun to read. You mentioned a science-y book a while back, so maybe you'd like this one?
Lucky is a memoir of a woman's rape during her freshman year of college. It's slightly disturbing, but I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I lent ( ... )
