I HAVE NO WORKING PS2 CONTROLLER AND I WANT TO PLAY SUIKODEN IV.

ARGH.

Maybe it's better this way, seeing as I spend hours upon hours playing Ritapon instead of, you know, the actual game. And getting pissed off and wishing death upon a fictional character when I lose because I'm a high bidder and that makes going against the little whore 80x

Suikoden 4 isn't too bad a game.... but I found the damn sailing to be the main thing which put me off of the game in the first place -_-;; Other than that I actually enjoyed it ^^ and there seem to be sidegames in all the damn series which are addictive, like the cooking competition and the fishing in Suik2, gah! I couldn't stop doing either of them >_>

...You're making me want to play ther series again but I can't atm -cries and makes grabby motions for PS2 which is currently not with me-

The sailing WAS the most annoying part of that game.

But then when you get Viki, you don't have to worry about sailing so much anymore ^__^

Actually, I think Suiko2 is probably the best of the 5... but I'm still also attached to 1 (the first Suiko I played) and 4 (the first Suiko I ever beat).

Viki is such love in those games for her teleportation even if she's otherwise useless <3 and it only gets better when you get that wonderful blinking mirror as well ♥

The cooking competitions are awesome! One of the many great things about that game.

Suiko2 is my all time favourite Suikoden game *____* probably also because it's the first one I played of the series and started my obsession of it >_> but then I do adore Suiko1 and Suiko5 just as must as number 2... I mean what's not to love about McDohl and Hero5?

I actually have yet to still finish 5... I'm so sad. Though it is a really great game.

McDohl is amazing though, and I was so happy I could use him (and his kick-ass souleater in the 2nd game too~)

I love 2, because so much of the first game is carried over into it. ^^ And 4 has Ted. Ted~ (Yeah, he's my favourite Suiko character, followed super closely by Luc...)

I need to get my hands on a copy of 2... I played my friends copy, but I need my own~~~

I was addicted to the mahjong game more than Ritapon because she also incited similar murderous tendencies. Even though I actually have, you know, relatives and REAL PEOPLE to play REAL MAHJONG with... I get addicted to one in a video game instead.

I have no clue HOW long I spent mastering Ritapon just so I could get her and then never ever talk to her again... Gaaah...

I remember in Suiko1 they had that dice rolling game (they had it in 2 too), and I would spend HOURS playing that and trying to get like 999,999 potch, and sometimes I would, and sometimes I'd just go bankrupt... ^^;; God bless the soft reset ^^;;;

Sigurd and Hervey are so so awesome.

Have you ever played the Suikoden Tactics? Because it starts out before Suiko4, so you get a better idea of how those 2 meet and everything too. ^_____^ Hervey was so adorable when he was little. (Okay, he's always adorable).

I always used those 2... ^^ They were like, in my 2nd final party. (The party that had to destroy the cannons.)

You can cheat the system in the cup game though that Marco plays >_> especially since you can get max out your potch in the first 10 minutes of the game ♥ ....not that I ever did that -coughs lightly-

Yeah, you can do that too. But even with the cheat I was pretty bad at that cup game once it got super fast on me. Because for some reason it never worked even when I knew the cheat... >.>

So I just played against Gaspar with the dice rolling ^^;;

really? -blinks- that's odd since it hasn't failed on me -ponders- all you need to do is do the cup game on the slowest version for 5-10 times and write down the order which the coin appears then exit the cup game and chat to him again, this time picking the 10,000 potch option. Then all you need to do is follow the pattern you wrote down and you should be good to go (the pattern does change on the odd occasion but when you notice the pattern change just exit the cup game and re-enter it >_>)

The dice game though addictive and HOMG you can't stop playing it when you start is one I hated.

Um, the creative use of a shoebox, some string, a couple of markers, a pair of blunted-for-children scissors and some blue-tack could make you a beautiful and relatively functioning PS2 controller!

I've unfortunately never played the game/s, so I wish you the best of luck with all attempts to sell of your vast pornographic doujinshi collection on E-bay, or using your imagination!
